Difference maker: Longford student recognised for his passion for promoting financial literacy

Michael Mensah from Longford has won the Difference Maker award at the gradireland Undergraduate of the Year Awards 2025, which celebrate Ireland’s best undergraduate students.

The Difference Maker award is supported by Chartered Accountants Ireland and celebrates students from all educational disciplines making a real impact in their community, college or beyond.

A former student of Mercy Secondary School in Ballymahon, Michael is a final year Accounting and Finance student in TU Dublin and received the award for his work with the Student Managed Fund in TU Dublin and his passion for promoting financial literacy and access.

He is pictured receiving his award from Chartered Accountants Ireland Vice President Joan Curry.
