Aurivo Co-Op officially opened its new Homeland Longford store on Athlone Road, marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, April 3. The new location features a greatly enhanced offering including a Garden Centre and a Paint & Colour Consultation Centre.
Formerly a Homeland Agri store, the upgraded premises now offers an expanded product range including Clothing, DIY & Hardware, Agri, Fuel, Pet, Paint, and Garden.
Shannonside FM’s Joe Finnegan broadcasted live from the store, chatting with Store Manager Megan O’Rourke and Area Manager Fiona Creamer. Visitors enjoyed exclusive offers, refreshments, and a lively atmosphere throughout the day.

Aurivo Chairman Raymond Barlow officially opened the store and was joined by CEO Donal Tierney, Sheila Maloney General Manager Agribusiness, Megan O’Rourke and Michael Tuohy for the ribbon cutting.
Ms Maloney said, “Homeland Longford’s new location allows us to broaden our offering for our existing and new customers. The addition of our 13th Garden Centre and a new Paint & Colour Consultation Centre greatly enhances our offering, providing customers with greater choice and access to specialist expertise. Our team has worked incredibly hard to deliver this enhanced experience, and we hope that customers from across the region will enjoy all that the new store has to offer.”
