Decision time: Longford County Council planners to adjudicate on Abbeyshrule development

Longford County Council planners granted an application to the vary planning permission previously granted for an Abbeyshrule development. Peter Byrne has made an application to complete a housing development that was previously granted planning permission at Drimanure, Abbeyshrule, Longford.

The proposed development will comprised of the construction of 26 detached two-storey houses, (this change to the plans sees the omission of one two-storey house) as well as connection to adjoining utility services.
The works will include permission to finish all external works, utilities and services and permission to construct six two-storey houses which are currently at structural slab level.

The plans also look for permission to construct three two-storey detached houses and four single storey dwellings, semi-detached in two blocks. The final three houses have not been started.
The final part of the application seeks to include a change of house type for the semi-detached units to that previously granted under, and all ancillary site work.

The local authority planners granted the application subject to 15 conditions.
Meanwhile Longford County Council planners have sought further information in respect of a planning application relating to lands in Drumlish.

Blessington Stone & Concrete Limited, trading as Rhyne Rock, have lodged plans seeking permission to dispose of materials.
The material is inert soils and subsoil on lands at Lettergullion, Drumlish, Longford to raise the existing ground level, creation of an access road and a vehicular turntable and all associated ancillary works.
The local authority planners, who indicated that a decision on the matter was due earlier this month, have sought further information on the project.
