29 vehicles seized and bank accounts frozen in major Garda operation targeting Longford and Dublin criminals

A Garda operation targeting criminals in Longford and Dublin has resulted in the seizure of vehicles with an estimated value of between €500,000 and €600,000.
Gardaí attached to Terenure Divisional Drugs Unit, supported by the Serious Crime units in Terenure, Crumlin and Sundrive Road and the Tallaght and Sundrive Road Divisional Drugs Units, assisted by the DMR South Scenes of Crime, Roads Policing Units and STOC conducted a number of searches in residential properties and business properties in Longford and Dublin targeting an organised crime group based in South Dublin.

A Garda spokesperson stated, "A total of 29 vehicles were seized this morning, Thursday, March 20 from a business in South County Dublin, as was evidence relating to drugs related money-laundering, and fraud offences.
"Further freezing orders have been placed on company accounts, freezing circa €200,000 suspected to be the proceeds of crime.

"The estimated value of the vehicles seized is between €500,000 and €600,000."

Investigations are ongoing.
