Longford TY students at the Garda Air Support Unit demonstration
Last Thursday, 6 March, a group of Transition year students got the great opportunity to visit Westmanstown Centre for the Operational Support Services Open day.
The students were welcomed by members of An Garda Síochána Longford and got the chance to see what a career as a Garda might look like.
Students from across the county were treated to exciting displays from multiple Garda Units such as the Garda Air Support Unit, the Dog Unit, the Mounted Unit, the Water Unit, Armed Support Unit and the Public Order Unit.
