Book of evidence served on two Longford defendants

Two young men charged in connection with an alleged incident of violent disorder were served with the book of evidence at Longford District Court last week.


Denis Hannifin (22) and Jim Hannifin (18) both of Curry, Athlone Road, Longford face a charge that on June 11, 2024 they did commit violent disorder.

Solicitor Michelle Reynolds requested free legal aid and one senior and junior counsel and Judge Bernadette Owens approved the application.

The case was then sent forward to this week's sitting of Longford Circuit Court.
