Cocaine with an estimated street value of €3,800 was seized during two separate searches conducted at properties in Longford town as part of Operation Tara.
Gardai in Longford attached to the Longford / Roscommon / Mayo Divisional Drugs Unit carried out a search of a residence in Longford town on Friday, January 31.
A quantity of suspected cocaine was seized with an estimated street value of €2,800 along with drugs paraphernalia. Investigations are ongoing.
Then, on Saturday, February 1, in another search of a Longford town residence and a quantity of suspected cocaine with a street value of €1,000 was seized by gardaí.

One male was arrested and detained following this search and he will appear before Longford District Court in the coming weeks.
