Twelve impressive Longford Rose hopefuls will gather at the Longford Arms Hotel this Saturday, January 25 for a night full of entertainment, glamour and above all great fun as we find out who will be selected to represent Longford at the 2025 Rose of Tralee International Festival in August.
It is two years since Longford selected a Rose representative, with the 2023 winner being Grace Kemple.
Grace had the distinction of becoming the sixth Longford Rose to appear on stage at the world famous Tralee Dome, following in the footsteps of Marie Brady (2019), Caroline Doyle (2016), Daphne Howard (2015), Aisling Farrell (2013) and Grainne Fox (2007). So Saturday’s winner will become Longford’s seventh Rose to feature in the televised ‘live’ interviews.
Grace and Longford also had the honour of welcoming the Rose Tour to the county for the first time in 2023.
Reigning Longford Rose Grace and the Rose of Tralee herself, Keely O’Grady will be the special guests at Saturday’s eagerly anticipated Rose Selection.
The twelve girls hoping to be crowned the 2025 Longford Rose are; Sara-Lee Greene, Emma Mcguire, Zoë Nic Fheorais, Róisín McNerney, Alana Coughlan, Karen O’Boyle, Trish Gervasoni, Lara Frawley, Emily McCarthy, Tara O’Reilly, Anna Moorhead and Laura Shanley.

Longford Rose Coordinator 2025, Steve Cronly, said they are inviting people to come along early on Saturday as tickets are almost sold out for what promises to be an occasion to remember. “Doors open at 7.15pm, with the show starting at 7.30pm sharp. Tickets are €25 and they will be available on the evening of Saturday, January 25.”
There will be prizes for ‘Best Dressed Lady’, ‘Best Dressed Man’ and ‘Best Banner’, as well as a raffle, and plenty of nice prizes to be won.
Mr Cronly expressed thanks to all local sponsors, host sponsor the Longford Arms Hotel, and media partners The Longford Leader / Longford Live and Shannonside Radio.

The Roses will appear on stage where they will be interviewed by Galway Bay FM’s Ollie Turner and will get an opportunity to perform a party piece of their choice if they so wish.
