Midhe Democratic School are holding an information evening on Wednesday, January 22 at 6pm in St Sinneach’s Hall, Carrickedmond.
Midhe Democratic School, located in Barry, Co Longford, will be Ireland's fifth democratic school when it opens its doors to students, ages 5-18, this April.
At Midhe Democratic School students will learn through play, at their own pace and follow their passions. The school trusts that children’s innate curiosity will lead them to activities and learning that is meaningful to them.
Caroline Lewis, Midhe Democratic School Founder, says; “It has been a long journey to get to this point, but we are delighted that building works are well underway, and we have a date for opening.
“Anyone who is interested – parents, inquiring teenagers and even educators who might be interested in joining our team - is invited to the information evening at 6pm on Wednesday, January 22 at St Sinneach’s Hall, Carrickedmond.
“We look forward to welcoming you to learn more about our school.”
