Longford violent disorder case adjourned

In order for the DPP to determine the progression of the case, the two defendants had the charges against them adjourned.

Two young men charged in connection with an alleged incident of violent disorder had the charges against them adjourned to allow the Director of Public Prosecution determine how to progress with the case.

Denis Hannifin (22) and Jim Hannifin (18) both of Curry, Athlone Road, Longford face a charge that on June 11, 2024 they did commit violent disorder along with Willie McGinley.

Judge Bernadette Owens remanded the defendants on continuing bail to return before Longford District Court on February 2, 2024.
