Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Moorock, Ballycumber, Co. Offaly in the early hours of this morning Sunday, December 22, 2024.
Gardaí were alerted to the collision which involved a single vehicle. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a man aged in his 30s, was fatally injured. No other injuries were reported.
The body of the man has been removed from the scene to the Mortuary in Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore and arrangements will now be made for a post-mortem examination to take place.

The road is currently closed as a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators is due to take place later this morning. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
