this is Richmount Cordial’s first foray into alcoholic beverages

One of Longford's most innovative drinks companies, Richmount Cordial, have added a new product to their line with their latest offering.

Richmount Elderflower Liqueur is a delicious new creation from award winning cordial makers David and Martina Burns in Carrickboy.

The couple farm the finest elderflowers and elderberries and are transforming them into not only the most exquisite cordials, but now also liqueur.

The latest product from the Longford business comes on the market just in time for Christmas. With a limited run of just a thousand bottles, demand for this small batch, seasonal release is likely to be high.

This is Richmount Cordial’s first foray into alcoholic beverages. The 500ml bottles come in at 20% ABV and are available from off licences countrywide at around €30.

It’s currently stocked in Nally’s Circle K and Wilder & Gold in Ballymahon and in Longford town you’ll find it in Hanlon’s Gala and Davis’s SuperValu.

“This is the culmination of our dream to create an Elderflower Liqueur and we are confident that it is an outstanding product, capturing the essence of the freshest Irish elderflower from our own farm,” said Martina Burns, “We have limited production in 2024 to ensure we maintain our commitment to premium quality.”

Ideal for cocktails and spritzers, Richmount Elderflower Liqueur is unique on the market as the only Irish made elderflower liqueur.

This artisan product is made from elderflower blossoms handpicked once a year in the late spring.
It has a delicate flavour with a light, refreshing taste. It is balanced on the palate, enhancing and elevating a wide range of cocktails.

David and Martina Burns are well established on the Irish market with their successful brand featuring products such as Richmount Elderflower Cordial, Richmount Elderberry Cordial and Richmount Sparkling Elderflower.

They are no strangers to awards including the prestigious Irish Food Writers’ Guild Drink Award, McKenna’s Guide and Blás na hEireann.

The Burns have established Ireland’s largest elderflower orchard on the family farm, Richmount in Carrickboy, Longford and now boasts more than 2,000 trees.
