A leading Longford hair care specialist has been recognised for standards of excellence in the Irish hair and beauty profession.
Creative Oceanic powered by Oceanic Awards announced the winners of The Irish Hair and Beauty Awards 2024 on October, 20 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Dublin Airport.
David Keenan, the owner of The Hair Doc Hair salon in Kenagh, was the recipient of the award for the hair stylist of the year 2024 at the recent gala event in Dublin.
Taking to social media David said, “My salon may be small, but it is mighty. When you pour your heart and soul into something, it is amazing to receive the results you work hard towards.”

The evening of glamour and celebration honoured the achievements of exceptional individuals and establishments who set standards of excellence in the world of hair and beauty.”
The salon owner said: “Thank you to all my clients who keep me busy and for placing their trust and faith in me. The salon wouldn't be what it is without you all and none of this would be possible.
“For a salon situated in a small village like Kenagh, I really am placing it on the map. It's only bigger and better we can go from here.”
The talented hairdresser has been racking up awards since opening in Kenagh in 2022. Earlier this year The Hair Doc also won out in the prestigious Hi Style Passoa Hair and Beauty Awards 2024.
