Longford's Lough Ree Distillery awarded Origin Green Gold membership

Company CEO Mike Clancy accepted the Orign Green Gold Membership at the Bord Bia annual Sustainability Seminar Seminar.

Longford’s Lough Ree Distillery, in Lanesborough, has been awarded Origin Green Gold Membership for 2024.


Gold Membership recognises exemplary sustainability performance by Origin Green member companies and the honour was bestowed at Bord Bia’s annual Sustainability Seminar.


Lough Ree Distillery has a strong commitment to sustainability and community, and the distillery offers an award-winning portfolio of whiskeys, gins and vodkas, hampers and associated gifting options.

Lough Ree Distillery’s approach to sustainability is driven by their commitment to long-term growth, and community with sustainability at the heart of the business.


The company, which exports to 13 countries, are focused on introducing lightweight bottles across their range and reducing carbon footprint, single useglass and cardboard waste.

CEO and founder Mike Clancy said he was delighted to recently accept the Origin Green Gold certification.


"Origin Green Gold certification rewards the efforts we put in to continuously improve our sustainability performance and helps us to stand out when we bring our products to global markets," he added.
