Delays can be expected in Longford town, on the N55 at Carrickboy, Aughnacliffe and Drumlish
Longford motorists are being alerted to a serious of temporary road closures across the county.
Grafton Court in Longford town will be closed on Monday, October 21 (4am-7pm) to facilitate construction work.
Diversions are in place. Vehicle access is available to Longford Shopping Centre carpark via St Mel's road.
N55 at Carrickboy
Significant roadworks are to be carried out on the N55 at Carrickboy from Monday, October 21 to Friday, November 1 (8am-6pm).
These roadworks are required to facilitate Pavement Resurfacing Works. Traffic management system (Stop and Go) will be in place for the duration of the works but delays can be expected.

L1037 Smear to Arva Road Aughnacliffe
Roadworks will be carried out on the L-1037 Smear to Arva Road, Aughnacliffe at the following junctions (i) L-1037/L-10294 and (ii) L-1037/L-10373 from Friday, October 18 to Friday, October 25 (8am-4pm) to facilitate Junction Improvement Works.
Temporary traffic lights are in place will be in place for the duration of the works and delays can be expected.

L-1065 Edgeworthstown to Ballinalee
To facilitate essential road surfacing works at Lissameen, the L-1065 Edgeworthstown to Ballinalee will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, October 22 (9am-5pm).
Traffic from Edgeworthstown to Ballinalee should divert north at the Keelogenasause ESB substation onto the L-1089 and continue on this route to the R194 at Listraghee. Then proceed west along the R194 to Ballinalee.
Traffic from Ballinalee to Edgeworthstown should divert east along the R194, to Listraghee and then take right turn onto the L-1070 and proceed to Edgeworthstown.
Traffic from the Drumlish direction to Edgeworthstown should divert east at Doherty's Cross, along the R194, to Listraghee and then take right turn onto the L-1070 and proceed to Edgeworthstown.
Local access as far as the Lisameen/Currygrane bridge will be maintained, but there will be no through access at the bridge for safety reasons.
In the interest of road safety, please heed all signs.

Drumlish Village
Longford County Council wish to advise roadworks have commenced in Drumlish Village at the crossroads with the R198 which will be in effect for the next 6 weeks. Temporary Traffic Management in place (Traffic Lights). Significant delays can be expected.
