Longford Divisional Drugs unit dealt a significant blow to local drug dealers when they seized around €8,500 worth of heroin yesterday.
Longford Gardaí took to social media to highlight the haul.
In a Facebook post they said: “The search under Operation Tara was carried out in Longford Town area, yesterday October 1, 2024 by Longford Divisional Drugs unit assisted by local units.”
The search yielded approximately €8,500 of suspected heroin.
Two persons were arrested and detained as part of the investigation under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice drug trafficking act 1996.
In the post the Longford Divisional Drugs said that investigations are ongoing.
