Relics of St Bernadette of Lourdes to visit St Mel's Cathedral, Longford
The Relics of St Bernadette of Lourdes are currently in Ireland to visit each diocese. In the Ardagh & Clonmacnois diocese the relics will be in St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford on Friday and Saturday, September 27 and 28.
Following is the Itinerary:
Friday, September 27
2pm Welcoming Ceremony with Bishop Paul.
3pm Rosary – Fr Seamus O’Rourke – Veneration of the relics.
6pm Holy Hour
6pm to 7.30pm: Confessions
8.15pm Candlelight procession.
Cathedral will close immediately after procession.
Saturday, September 28
8am Mass of the Immaculate Conception – Fr Simon Cadam.
10am Mass of St Bernadette – Msgr. Bernard Noonan.
10.30 to 12 noon Confessions.
12 noon Rosary.
3pm Ceremony of Anointing of the Sick.
6pm Holy Hour.
7.30pm Vigil Mass for Sunday – Bishop Paul followed by Exposition concluding with Blessing at various points within the Cathedral. Eucharistic Adoration. Guided time of prayer after Mass concluding at 9.00pm
