A popular Longford tourism amenity, Leebeen Park could be set to add a new attraction to their surrounds with an outdoor sauna.
Firecracker Sauna is planning on adding a small-scale, eco-friendly wellness facility designed to provide a unique and sustainable sauna experience on the serene shores of Lough Leebeen in North Longford.
The project will consist of a wood-fired sauna and a separate structure for two changing stalls and a reception.
The sauna is intended to be a wellness facility offering sauna sessions to the public, with a focus on relaxation, health, and connection with nature.
It is designed to be both a tourist attraction and a community resource, enhancing the local tourism offering while providing a unique recreational activity.
The sauna will be accessible via a the boardwalk on the shore of Lough Leebeen and controlled through an online booking system.
Visitors will be required to book their sessions in advance, ensuring a controlled and manageable flow of guests.
A receptionist will be on-site during opening hours to confirm bookings, manage access, and monitor the operation of the sauna, including maintaining optimal temperature levels.
Provisional opening times: Thursday & Friday: 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM Bank Holidays: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM
