Longford / Roscommon Gardaí have launched an investigating after cash was stolen during a broad daylight Cloontuskert house break-in.

On Wednesday, September 4, at around 2pm a black car was seen circling the Cloontuskert estate.
A short while later it was seen parked on the roadway leading down to Cloontuskert cemetery.
At that time there was one person in the car and two others at the back door of a house.
Later it was discovered that the same house had been broken into and a sum of money taken.
If anyone has any information on that incident they are asked to contact the Gardaí in Roscommon 090 66 38300.
People are being urged to be vigilant and alert as there appears to be a lot of suspicious activity and damage being done locally. Don’t hesitate to ring 999 if you see anything untoward at any time.
