August is Craft Month in the East Coast and Midlands and Granard is the location for a weekly event celebrating crafting.
The month-long celebration of craft is drawing to a close, and with only two weeks left to go the public are urged to make sure to catch some of the exciting events taking place across East Coast & Midlands this August Craft Month.
Celebrating the vibrant local craft scene, a wealth of exhibitions, demonstrations and workshops have been taking place across East Coast & Midlands giving people the chance to support local makers by buying products and learning more about their work.
With a total of over 400 events on offer across East Coast & Midlands and across the rest of the country this August, here is just a taste of some of the events still to take place.
The County Longford event is in Granard Butter Market, Market Street, Granard, County Longford
it takes place every Saturday in August.
Traditional craft and farmers market with jewellery, knitting, hand-crafts and crafts supplies. Includes stalls of vegetables, cakes and more!
Every Saturday in August, with an additional market on this Friday (August 23) at the slightly earlier time of 10am to 1pm.
Granard Buttermarket was established in 1892 and traded until 1924. Butter was made at home and sold. This market runs on selected days throughout the year.
