On Tuesday 23rd July, Paul, Marie, Grace and Senan Kelly made the trip to Crumlin to present the funds raised by Ballymahon Friends of Crumlin.
A cheque for €9,000 was presented to The Children’s Health Foundation and Grace and Senan are pictured above left proudly handing over the cheque to a representative of the Foundation.
Next stop was Ronald Mc Donald House where Grace and Senan pictured above right presented a cheque for €1000 to the delight of the hardworking staff.
Since the group was established, a total of €100,000 has been raised to fund equipment and research and to support families of very sick children who use Ronald Mc Donald House as a base while their children are receiving life saving treatment in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital.
As the group’s members point out, none of it would be possible without the unfailing support of all those who contribute to the fundraising year after year - sponsors, ticket sellers, those who buy tickets and all those who participate in and help out at the annual 5k. A true community effort.
Well done to all involved.
