Community service for damaging clothes in Longford retail outlet

A man who damaged clothes in Dv8 on Ballymahon Street, Longford, received 70 hours community service at last week’s sitting of Longford District Court.


Maro Makula (48), with an address at Apartment 4, Cornmill House, Great Water Street, Longford, damaged clothes, to the value of €145.85, in the retail outlet on October 22, 2023.


He has 28 previous convictions. His solicitor, John Quinn, told the court that his client is “making efforts and regrets this slippage. He is hoping that you give him a chance.”


Judge Owens handed Mr Makula 70 hours community service.
