Plans for a significant housing development on the outskirts of Longford Town have been updated by the developer.

Faughnan Construction Ltd are seeking to demolish a house close to the Red Cow Roundabout for the extensive development.

Last November Longford County Council planners received the planning application for the 30 house development at Aghadegnan, Longford.

The application by Faughnan Construction Ltd is for the proposed demolition of an existing house and the construction of a residential development.

That development is to consist of 30 houses, made up of 28 three-bedroom two-storey terraced type houses in seven blocks of four units, and two three-bedroom two-storey semi-detached houses.

The planning application covers the provision of entrance, access road, green open space, boundary fences and walls, the proposed connections to the foul sewer, surface water and watermain networks as well as all ancillary site works.
