The Breffni 3 Province Challenge 2024 was officially launched in The Breffni Arms, Arva on Friday July 5.
Chair of the organising committee Philip Brady welcomed the many guests young and old to the launch.
Ruth Allen, executive director of The Friends of St Luke's praised the event for all the work done over the past 23 years, and outlined how money raised for the charity would be used.

Jimmy O'Donnell of Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care talked about how much difference the Breffni Challenge had made to the services they can provide and also their plans for the future.
The event was closed out by music from Swedish band Dun Aengus.
The annual Breffni 3 Province Challenge which raises much needed funds for three cancer charities will take place on Saturday, August 3 starting from St Patrick’s Hall, Arva.
The 3 Province challenge includes AAI Approved Half Marathon and 10Km, plus 7 Km and 5 Km Fun Runs / Walks (New improved route).

This will bring participants through the 3 Provinces of Ulster, Connacht and Leinster with some spectacular views along the way while raising Funds for Charity.
The event also includes 100 Km, 50 Km and 30 Km Cycle events. Last year around 800 people of many different abilities took part and a hugely enjoyable day was had by all.
The three charities to benefit are St Luke’s Cancer Care, Dublin, National Breast Cancer Research (NBCI), Galway and Cavan Cancer Homecare – 3 very worthy charities.
