Dumping disgrace! Longford community volunteers outraged by illegal fly tipping

Community volunteers in the Killoe area have expressed their outrage at an incident of fly tipping

Community volunteers in the Killoe area have expressed their outrage at an incident of fly tipping that has marred the area.

A clean up by local residents found a catch of refuse.

One of the volunteers contacted the Leader to highlight the issue: “Despite the ongoing, weekly Trojan work carried out by volunteers in the Ballygarve and Crieve area of Killoe we have this careless dumping,” they said.

The picture shows the problem: “People still continue to discard their rubbish. These large bags of builders' rubbish dumped this morning were particularly galling. It's a never ending, frustrating and disgusting problem,” the volunteer said.
