Longford planners receive application for pet crematorium

Longford County Council planners are assessing a planning application relating to the construction of a pet crematorium near Edgeworthstown.


The application made by Brenda McNamee relates to the building of a one-storey pet crematorium.


In the application permission is also sought for the installation of a wastewater treatment system and polishing filter, and permission for a new vehicular entrance and all associated site work.

The proposed facility would be located at Barneygole, Edgeworthstown, Longford and would have a floor area of 58 square metres. There is one submission by a member of the public on the applications file.

The plans were recently lodged with the local authority planners with a due date scheduled for August 11.
