Tony Doherty passed away on Monday
Tributes have poured in following the sad passing of Tony Doherty, late of Kilsallagh, Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford/ Balrath, Navan, Co. Meath and late of Fulham and Southfields, London, England.
Tony died following a short illness on Monday, June, 17, 2024, and is predeceased by his parents Irene and Dan, his sisters Peg, Betty, Ellen and Kathy, his brothers Matty and Paddy and by his nephew Paddy and nieces Irene Hull and Irene Wilson.
Tony will be sadly missed by his sister Anne (Tralee, Co. Kerry), nephews and nieces in England, Portugal, USA and Ireland, especially by Kathleen, Garrett, Brendan and Ella. Special acknowledgements to his friends Marie, Billy, Norah, Carmel and Vivienne and carers at home, in Ratoath and in Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.
Heartfelt condolences have been left by those who knew and fondly remembered Tony on RIP.ie, with one mourner writing,
"So sorry to hear of the passing of Tony. Condolences to Brendan, Tony's family and Friends. Tony we will all miss you, a gentleman with always a smile to greet us. Rest in the peace you deserve Tony."
Another wrote,
"Tony was a true gentleman, it was lovely to have known him for the short time we had. Condolences to Anne, Brendan, Garrett and family. May he rest in peace."
While another wrote,
"We were deeply saddened to learn of your recent loss. On behalf of the entire staff at Ratoath Manor Nursing Home, please accept our heartfelt condolences. Tony will be fondly remembered by all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time."
Funeral Arrangements
Tony will be reposing at Pretty See Cottage, Navan, Co. Meath on Wednesday and Thursday, House private. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Edgeworthstown on Friday at 12pm. Burial afterwards in Aughafin Cemetery.
