POSTPONED: Cullyfad Community Groups AGM has been postponed until Tuesday night 14th Dec. at 8pm due to inclement weather . We apologise for any inconvenience.
At a further meeting held in Cullyfad last Tuesday night it is proposed to carry out training in January with a further meeting on Jan 4th at 8 pm to finalise arrangements. Those interested in trainig please contact Noel Conway at 086 8241275. We would appeal to younger people to volunteer and try cver as many townlands in the area as possible.
We are currently collecting all Community Games trophies, shields and cups that were won by Killoe children over the past year. We will be getting these engraved during December, so if you have one (or more) in your house, please 'phone Bernie on 086 3186405 to arrange collection.
Our next meeting will take place on Friday next, the 10th of Dec. at 9pm in the school. Paul Friel, Community Games Regional Development Officer for the Midlands, will attend this meeting. Anyone in the parish who has an interest in Community Games is very welcome to come along.
Killoe Celtic Football Club are holding their annual fund-raising event in Begley's Pub Augnaboy Killoe on Saturday the 11 December 2010. The top prize of the night will be the much sought after trip for two persons to Old Strafford. Revere in watching the Manchester United verses Chelsea football match, afterwards returning to your luxury two nights accommodation.
A host of other spot-prizes will also be available on the night-plus music supplied by Connie Reilly. A promise of a great night's craic agus ceol is guaranteed.

Mass in St Mary's Ennybegs for deceased pioneer members on Sunday 12 December 2010 at 11a.m., and will include the 2011 year Confirmation class, who will receive their pioneer pins. Please give names to Fr. Sean Casey, Geraldine Clarke, or John Browne. Also anyone who is 16 years or older and wishes to join the pioneers please give name to secretary on the day. In grateful appreciation to everyone who helped at the recent Church Gate collections at St. Mary's Ennybegs and St. Oliver's Cullyfad, also everyone who attended the Annual Regional Dinner Dance, and purchased tickets for our raffle.
Sincere condolence is extended to Sonny Keenan and families, Lisard Road Edgeworthstown Co. Longford and formerly of the Glenview Lounge Aughnacliffe, in the sad bereavement of his wife Mary, who was laid to rest last week. We express sympathy to her husband Sonny, daughters, Sinead and Denise, sister Anna, Sons-in-law, Grandchildren and extended families and friends. Requiem mass was celebrated in Our Lady's Manor Church Edgeworthstown with burial in Ballinamuck new cemetery. RIP.
