A major schedule shake up will see parents receive their April Child Benefit payments early ahead of the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Due to the Easter weekend bank holiday, banks and post offices will be closed on Monday, April 1st.

This will result in any social welfare payments due to be paid on the Monday, as well as Child Benefit due on the Tuesday, being  sent or made available from Friday the 29th or Saturday the 30th.

This should see Child Benefit payments hit people's accounts on the Friday or Saturday due to the bank holiday on Monday. This usually happens when there is a bank holiday Monday before the first Tuesday of the month.

Any social welfare payments due to be paid on the Monday, as well as Child Benefit due on the Tuesday, should be sent or made available from Friday the 29th or Saturday the 30th of March.
