The loyal members and supporters of Longford Slashers turned out in huge numbers at the Longford Arms Hotel last Friday evening, January 20 for a special club social and presentation. A wonderful club year was celebrated with awards presented to Minor Player of the Year, Jack Horgan Swaris, Senior Player of the Year Robert O'Connell, and popular Hall of Fame recipient Micheál Walsh. The high point was the arrival of Mná Flipeadóirí Longfoirt and seeing these wonderful young women accept their county, Leinster and All Ireland medals presented by Chairwoman Bríd Nevin. The Ladies Management team of Conor Clarke, Shaunie Cunningham and Bryan Farrell were also presented with a momento of the victory.
