Take note! Mass times unveiled for this Longford village

MASS WILL be celebrated in St Columba’s Church, Mullinalaghta on Saturday evening at 8pm, with Mass in the Church of The Holy Family, Loch Gowna on Sunday at 11am.

There will be Mass in Gowna church on Monday morning at 9.30am and on Friday evening at 7pm, with Mass in Mullinalaghta on Wednesday morning at 9.30am and Thursday evening at 7pm.

There is no Mass on Tuesday this week. Mass will be live streamed on the parish Facebook page and on Belltron Streaming on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the benefit of anyone unable to attend.

Eucharistic Adoration takes place for half an hour after the Masses on Thursday and Friday evening each week. Mass intentions: Saturday: John Button, Arva, and Anna and James Kiernan, Cloonagh; Frank Ellis, Dublin and Toome; Michael Keegan, Clooneen.

Goals crucial as Granard are crowned Longford U-21 ‘B’ football champions

A couple of crucial goals in the first half proved to be the difference in Granard’s win over Carrickedmond in the U-21 ‘B’ Football Championship Final at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Saturday.
