The late Billy 'The Barber' Beahan
A fundraiser is being organised by the North Central Chapter of Freewheelers MC Ireland in memory of the late Billy ‘The Barber’ Beahan, who passed away after a battle with cancer on October 12 last year.
During his life, Billy did a lot for local charities.
He was a volunteer for Bethany House women’s refuge and did a lot of fundraising including starting the Midlands Toy Run, along with his friend Frank Kane, which has taken place for the last 16 years.
Frank explained, “In Billy's memory Freewheelers Motorcycle Club are holding a charity motorcycle run and rock night on Saturday, October 7.
"The run will be from Longford to Tullamore and back to Longford and there are five bands playing in the Longford Arms Hotel that night. The entry fee is €10 for the run and €10 for the night with all money raised being split between Longford Hospice Homecare and the Friends of the Regional Hospital, Tullamore.”
