Longford student set to compete at Worldskills Finals

Ardara, Carndonagh and Dunlewey projects shortlisted for .IE Digital Town Awards 2023

Longford student Iain Campbell will take part in the Worldskills Ireland 2023 competition this week

A Longford student will put his talents and knowledge to the test at the RDS from September 20 - 22, when he competes at Worldskills Ireland 2023, the country’s largest experiential skills, apprenticeships, and careers event.

Iain Campbell from Edgeworthstown,is competing in the Digital Infrastructure competition, alongside a total of 160 National Finalists who will go head-to-head in a range of skills-based trades including automation, constructions skills and culinary arts, for a chance to win the prestigious Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (DFHERIS) Silver Medal and to represent Ireland at Worldskills Lyon next year.

The Finals Day is set to take place at the RDS, Dublin on Friday, September 22.
