Longford’s Tre Robert, accepting his award for Student Leader of the Year at NCI
A twenty-one year Longford man has been elected as Vice President for Academic Affairs with the National College of Ireland Students' Union.
Tre Robert secured election to the full time role earlier this year and his success was significant and historic as he is the first Irish / African and Longford man to be elected to the NCI Students’ Union.
Tre will be graduating in computer science specialising in cybersecurity in August and he has been approved to study a masters degree on a part time basis in the National College of Ireland.
A former student of St Mel’s College, Tre and his family are well known in Longford town and he is looking forward to his new role as NCISU Vice President for Academic Affairs.
An accomplished boxer, Tre has enjoyed success in Leinster and International boxing tournaments, and in October, he will compete at an international tournament in Dungarvan.
Tre was recently presented with an award for winning Student Leader of the Year at NCI.
The newly elected NCISU executive team comprises three full time roles (President; Vice President for Academic Affairs and Vice President for Welfare & Equality) and three part time roles (Clubs and Socs Officer; Entertainments Officer & Communications Officer).
