Longford’s delicatessen offering has been given a timely boost with the opening of a brand new cafe.

Located at the county town’s Pig Market Lane, adjacent to Herterich’s Butchers, Dessert Mania is a delectable, vibrant and welcoming store that looks set to become Longford’s newest destination for freshly baked desserts.

The new premises, which was supported by Longford Community Resources Ltd through the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP), looks set to provide added choice and excellence to Longford’s food sector over the weeks and months ahead.

What’s more, it promises to offer customers a wide range of appetising treats that are simply not available anywhere else.

Among its many flavoursome delights include the likes of Spanish churros, waffles, custard tarts, crepes and chimney cakes.

The latter, being a traditional Hungarian street food snack, is very much indicative of the type of cosmopolitan cuisine its owner, Renata Kostyra hangs her culinary hat on.

In a further boost, Dessert Mania has over 20 teas to choose from alongside a comprehensive range of coffees and fresh juices.
All of its mouth watering treats are made fresh on site in a vow which is in keeping with its ‘From the oven to your table’ mantra.

For those looking to take in the atmosphere of its new surrounds, the new premises can cater for up to 20 customers at any one time.

To mark its eagerly awaited opening, Dessert Mania are offering a buy one get one free offer when patrons present a cutout coupon on arrival.

Dessert Mania is open from 9am to 6pm five days a week, from 10am to 5pm on Sundays with the store being closed on Tuesdays.
