CHRISTMAS GREETINGS

I would like to take this opportunity to extend greetings for a very happy and peaceful Christmas to all readers of the Bunlahy notes and to thank all who have supplied me with news items in the past year and look forward to your help in 2011.To all who may have to spend Christmas in hospital or away from their loved ones we send special good wishes and appeal to all to be very careful in these bad weather conditions

SYMPATHY

Deepest sympathy is extended to the McGauran family Sonnagh on the death of their beloved father Pat McGauran at the weekend.The late Pat had been ill for a short while and his death came as a shock to all.Pre-deceased by his wife some years ago,Pat was a kind,decent man who will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.May he rest in peace.

RURAL TRANSPORT

All routes for 2010 will be completed on Thursday 23rd December and will resume on Tuesday 4th January.Longford community resources wish all passengers and everyone who supports the rural transport programme a very happy and peaceful Christmas and good wishes for the new year.All involved with the rural transport are delighted with the announcement in the recent budget that the programme will continue in 2011 even with a slightly reduced budget.
