Cllr Colm Murray takes his seat

Newly elected councillor, Colm Murray took his seat at Longford County Council for the first time, last Wednesday afternoon. Murray who hails from Kenagh was co-opted onto the seat last Monday night after it was left vacant by the sudden death of Cllr Paddy Belton (FG) at the end of April.

Newly elected councillor, Colm Murray took his seat at Longford County Council for the first time, last Wednesday afternoon. Murray who hails from Kenagh was co-opted onto the seat last Monday night after it was left vacant by the sudden death of Cllr Paddy Belton (FG) at the end of April.

“I would like to thank everybody who made the decision to put me into this seat,” he said. “Paddy was a great friend of mine; I know I have very big shoes to fill here, but I will certainly do my best.”
