A group of Ukrainian children and their mothers in The Mall Albert Reynolds Peace Park, Longford town Picture: Shelley Corcoran
It was a great Good Friday in The Mall Albert Reynolds Peace Park, Longford town for this group of Ukrainian children and their mothers.
First of all, on a bright sunny day, the children received Easter eggs, donated locally.
Then Longford Leader photographer and acclaimed children's author Shelley Corcoran was on hand to donate €650 to Little Steps for Ukraine.
Over 100 children in Ukraine have already received gifts from this amazing Longford based charity.
The generous donation was from proceeds from one of Shelley's earlier books and which was illustrated by Polish Longford illustrator Angelika Sowul.
