Emergency services at scene of multi vehicle Longford collision
A man and a woman are currently being treated at the scene of a multi vehicle collision on the N5 between Longford and Clondra.
The crash, involving at least three cars occurred at Kilmore Cross, Strokestown Road, Longford at around 2:30pm.
Gardaí, fire services and ambulance personnel are believed to be at the scene.
Long tailbacks are being reported in the area, and diversions are in place.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if at all possible.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí and emergency services are currently attending the scene of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the Strokestown Road, Longford, today 16th of March 2023.
"A man and a woman are being treated at the scene. There is no further information available at this time."
