Longford's trad trio, 'Ríl Óg', who won the coveted title as 'Longford's Next Superstars' have been making a name for themselves performing at events up and down the country.

The hardworking band have now been invited to perform at an event in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Sunday, January 22, 2023, as part of 'Celtic Connections 2023'.

Only a select few artists are given this opportunity to perform on the DKOS Stage (Danny Kyle Open Stage), to audiences of up to 300+ and the event will be broadcast live on Celtic Music Radio celticmusicradio.com 95fm in Glasgow.

A number of acts will then be shortlisted to perform again on 'Showcase' on Sunday, February 5, and will also be offered a support slot at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow in 2024.

Ríl Óg band members hail from Lanesboro and Edgeworthstown and consist of Dylan Hanly (accordion), Tomás Mulligan (banjo & fiddle) and Setanta Flood (bodhrán & guitar).

They have just finished recording a track called 'Briste' and it will be available shortly on Spotify.
