Longford Local Elections 2024: Irish are treated like second class citizens

Ballymahon Municipal District Meet the Candidate: Mandy Larkin, The Irish People

Irish People Party candidate in the Ballymahon Municipal District area, Mandy Larkin says that she aims to be the voice of the voiceless.

The Lanesboro resident believes that Irish people are being treated like second class citizens.

Immigration is one of the main issues that Ms Larkin is campaigning on.

While she is not against housing refugees, Ms Larkin believes that too many men are entering the country and not enough women and children.

She is also campaigning against what she terms radical sex education. This covers issues such as gender identity.

Ms Larkin feels that the family unit is under attack and wants this issue tackled.

She also feels that there is an attack on farming due to what she terms insane green initiatives.

Another of Ms Larkin’s platforms is what she terms the proposed criminalisation of free speech as a result of proposed Hate Speech law.

Ms Larkin is concerned about the number of Irish people who are homeless and also about the increasing number of young people who can’t afford to live in Ireland anymore.

The Irish People Party started in late 2023.

The party has over fifty candidates running nationally in the local elections.
