Gardaí issue update in case of missing man last seen travelling towards Longford
A positive new development emerged this morning in the case of Mark Ayres, a man reported missing from Waterford City last week.
Gardaí have confirmed that 47-year-old Mark Ayres, who had been the subject of a missing person appeal, has been located safe and well.
Mr Ayres was last seen on Tuesday, June 2, when he was believed to be driving in the direction of County Longford.
His disappearance prompted his family and Gardaí to issue a public appeal for information as efforts were made to establish his whereabouts.
In an update issued this morning, Thursday June 11, Gardaí confirmed Mr Ayres had been found safe and well and thanked members of the public for their assistance.
