The annual Christmas Day run in aid of the Longford Branch of Multiple Sclerosis took place again this year for the 32nd time!
Over 100 people participated in the event. READ MORE BELOW PHOTO
A special word of thanks to everyone who took part and helped make this a huge success again this year.
Sincere appreciation to Peter Hanley Motors, Ballymahon who sponsored t-Shirts for participants. Thanks to the Pier Inn who provided refreshments en route. Also to the Gavigan and Kenny Family who provided treats for participants outside their homes.
Thanks to Bernard Keane, SuperValu Lanesboro who provided cups for hot refreshments.
The winner this year was Connell Kennelly, with a time of 44 minutes and 51 seconds, 2nd cross the line was Martin Gillen with a time of 44 minutes and 59 seconds and 3rd was Stephen Farrell.
The first lady was Deirdre Hopkins with a time of 46 minutes and 53 seconds, 2nd was Therese O’Connor with a time of 47 minutes and 30 seconds and 3rd was Ronie Masterson. Thanks to everyone who continues to help make this event such a huge success for Longford MS.
At the moment funds collected are in the region of €5,500.
An update on the total amount raised will be provided in the next few weeks.
