There was plenty of festive cheer on display in Edgeworthstown last weekend as children, families and members of the public at large witnessed the long awaited turning on of the Christmas lights.
Santa Claus himself, even made an impromtu appearance, arriving in on a blue coloured Kiernan Milling truck to the delight of young and old alike.
Longford Leader photographer Shelley Corcoran was also on hand to take in some of the atmosphere, capturing plenty of the action through the lens of her camera.
