Longford County Council Arts Office has announced the return of the Longford Art Gallery to the old Providers building in Longford Town.
All are welcome to come along and support local artists, with opportunities to purchase unique Christmas gifts with a County Longford connection.
The gallery will be opening from 12-5pm on Saturday, December 10 to Sunday, December 11 and again on Saturday, December 17 to Sunday, December 18.
Longford Art Gallery will showcase many new works, including from artists such as Gordon Farrell, Phil Atkinson, Mary Fleming, Eibhlin Crossan, Gary Robinson and Joan Mulvihill.
Longford Art Gallery is supported by Longford County Council Arts Office. The art on display will be curated by photographer Luke Danniells.
The opening of the Longford Art Gallery follows on from the success of last year’s exhibition, which sold an incredible 18 paintings from local artists in its first weekend.
The public are encouraged to come along and view the works on display and support local artists, where possible.
Longford County Council Cathaoirleach Cllr Turlough McGovern said, “It is great to see the return of the Longford Art Gallery after the success of the gallery last year. County Longford has many vibrant and talented artists and many art lovers. I encourage everyone to come along for a visit and support local artists this Christmas.”
