Longford records highest rent increase in country
According to the latest Rental Report by daft.ie county Longford has recorded the highest rent increase in the country.
Nationally, market rents in the third quarter of 2022 were an average of 14.1% higher than the same period a year earlier.
In Longford, market rents were on average 24.1% higher in the third quarter of 2022 than a year previously.
The average listed rent in Longford is now €1,059, up 148% from its lowest point.
Rents in Leinster's midland counties rose 17.7% year-on-year, reflecting a sharp fall in availability - just 37 homes were available to rent on November 1, in line with very low levels of availability over the last 12 months.
