The Mall (Albert Reynolds Peace Park), Longford town played host to 'Walk The Walk' in aid of GOAL/ Ukrainian refugees on Wednesday evening, March 9.
Despite it being a bitterly cold evening, €2,942 was raised and it has been sent to GOAL who are working with the Ukrainian people near the Budomiersz border crossing.
Organiser Tiernan Dolan explained that further donations have been promised by different groups locally. He said Matt O'Brien, Menswear, Ballymahon Street will accept donations to GOAL which will in turn be forwarded to GOAL's Ukraine work.
