A man was arrested by gardaí in relation to an alleged public order incident on Main Street in Longford town earlier today
A man in his fifties was arrested earlier today following a public order incident in the middle of Longford town.
Gardaí arrested the man after officers responded to reports of a public intoxication incident at around 3pm.
A garda spokesperson this evening confirmed to the Leader that a man was arrested and conveyed to Longford Garda Station before being detained under Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act 1984.
