A Longford judge has hit out at the high insurance policies offered to young drivers, after a young person appeared before him charged with having no insurance.
At a sitting of Longford District Court last week, Judge Seamus Hughes said that insurance companies need to be tackled about their high policies for young drivers.
“We’re paying our young people peanuts. They can’t afford insurance,” he snapped.
