Longford Weather update: Snow/Ice warning issued

Following warnings from Met Éireann of a risk of snow and ice earlier today, Monday April 1, a status yellow snow and ice warning has been issued for Longford and nine counties.

The warning is in place for Connacht, Longford, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal and Louth, with Met Éireann warning of falls of hail and sleet in places, as well as some snow accumulations on higher ground.

Met Éireann also warn of lying snow in places below 250 meters, with icy patches forming overnight. The warning remains in place until 12pm on Tuesday afternoon, April 3.
